I lost all respect for Barbara Walters in 1993 when she mentioned rumors that Whitney Houston had had a miscarriage…then ambushed Whitney into talking about it on camera. It was uncomfortable to watch, and is still one of the grossest things I’ve seen on television.

That’s why we all watched those interviews. She “went there” when others didn’t. Her prime time celebrity interviews were always something we looked forward to. Celebrities knew they had made it if she interviewed them.
