Back in 2010 I had my son in Kentucky and his dad was in Tennessee. I was able to add him to the birth certificate without him being there or signing. And we weren’t married

This mom is lucky the lady called the police and just didn’t up and take the baby I don’t understand this why have a baby and then decide to leave it in the parking lot there’s moms who can’t have baby’s and the one who can go and do this

depending on where you live you can give the child any last name so she can definitely give the child that Man's last name but in order for his name to be on the birth certificate he would have definitely had to sign the birth certificate and you will have to take it and have it notarized the original papers from the hospital has to be notarized then they send them off and that's how the father's name is put on the birth certificate or the father's name can be put on the birth certificate by having a DNA done

Not sure in other states, but in CA a mother can literally put any name on the BC without a signature.
