in my middle and jr high they split the lunches into two lunches on right after the other, you had to go to your designated lunch, high school they just let kids loose and they can leave if they want

I’m in the uk and we were always told to eat outside or in the canteen and not be allowed inside the building or in class rooms even when it was raining

I let my students eat in my room when they want and have a few regulars. Usually its kids who are quieter/don't like to be overwhelmed by the crowds at lunch.

My high school had something called lunch and learn. Everyone had lunch at the same time but could also go to a class to do makeup work, tests etc… me? I LOVED using my theatre teacher’s microwave for lunch. 😏

My one teacher at lunch would have movies playing and gave a safe place where those who didn't have somewhere to go, somewhere to go.

we had three lunch periods that were determined on what your 4th hr class was each trimester/semester. and I think lunch was like 20 minutes or so.

in hs the art room (theater/music) rooms were on the top floor and it was like the space of 3 regular class rooms length wise. several students went there to eat. or of course cafeteria, outside.

My school had 3 lunches. 5th period ended up 90 minutes total because your lunch would be A,B, or C depending on what class you had. It'd change when the semesters changed. No snacking in classes. We were allowed water but that was new when I graduated.

High school we had common lunch if we had “good behavior.” If there was too many fights or rowdy days they would split us into 3 lunch sessions. Super annoying when that happened.
