Very serendipitous that I stumbled across this vid. I was recently having a conversation with my best friend about this and I mentioned the same thing- about it being a fantasy that crumbles once things start getting too reciprocal, too “real”. I relate so much to this feeling of wanting to stay in a state of longing and yearning, it makes me feel alive and electric. It’s a pattern I’ve just noticed and I have never had the right words to describe to others so thank you for putting it in such beautiful, thoughtful words. 🤍

Wow. This is so interesting and so very true, such a good perspective. And while no one wants pain and almost always feeling this way over someone eventually becomes torturous, I think there is a part of me that finds beauty and comfort in suffering and longing. I find myself the most excited to live when I am becoming my desire, it fuels my art and my writing and everything that I love to do. Without infactuation I become passionless and it pains me worse that longing for the things I cannot have. Definitely working on that because its not healthy lol but it is a reality
