1 - 4th degree year here, it really only sucked the 24-48 hours but after that not bad 2. Them breaking your water seriously felt like nothing, just a pinch. 3 THE IV IN THE HAND SUCKS SO BAD

IV in the hand sucks!!!! One girl put it in the crease where I bend my wrist and it hurt so bad!!!! I made her move it and they put it in my lower arm instead and that was so much better. Barely feel it in the arm!!!

Epidural didn’t hurt bc the contractions were awful before hand! My water broke on its own & them pressing on your belly isn’t bad at all. My iv was in my forearm, didn’t hurt. I had a slight tear internal didn’t bother me it was more the external tears that they couldn’t suture that hurt a few days later! A/d helped me a bunch! I was so scared of birth but it was absolutely amazing & was so smooth! I would do it over my pregnancy any day! Don’t be scared, it’s a beautiful experience ♥️

It didn’t hurt when they pushed on my belly, but when my water broke it HURT but I didn’t have any bad contractions at all until my water broke!

I had a third degree tear but the recovery was not bad because I wore the padscicles and was mostly in bed for like 2 weeks postpartum. Don’t be walking around too much for the first few weeks so you can heal quicker. They also broke my water but it wasn’t bad at all - it actually relieved a lot of pressure. I’ve also heard the IV is horrible but mine was not - maybe I was distracted from the contractions lol but I don’t remember it being bad. Good luck! I know it’s scary cause you don’t know exactly how it’s gonna go but you’ll do great :)

Pushing on the belly after birth and the after birth contractions are terrible. Otherwise not bad. Remember to drink red raspberry tea if you have after pains it helps a lot

Depending on your pain tolerance these things don’t really hurt that bad at least they didn’t for me … I got to 6 cm unmediated and barley felt anything

Hand IV by far I hate!! And they always have to do it twice because my hand bubbles up and gets air trapped and of course c sections this is my 4th c section

I gave birth twice and this is my 3rd pregnancy.. Im so scared of pushing this baby out of me.. this is the only scary thing , the other things are bearable

I was told that if you don’t want an iv or for them to break your water, you don’t have to have it done. And I plan on not having it done, as I’m also scared of those things

Tearing is definitely the worst. I had two 2nd degree tears and how long it took to heal i woudl rather go through another unmedicated birth. It took a month for me not to be in pain while walking. If you tear the Frida padsicles are life savers they’ll be your best friend. The iv wasn’t that bad it was more uncomfortable more than anything but when you are in labor that’ll be least of your worries. Also I heard you can deny one until it’s needed.

Episiotomy was done on me, so you don’t tear. I had the epidural.and did not fell it.

none of all these was painful for me .... the only thing realy hurt was crowning (without the epidural) the third birth , I took the epidural and it was painless

My worst fear was having a c section and it happened 😭 baby got stuck in my pelvis. I was TERRIFIED of surgery.
