I notice that all Spanish people are talking in sort of higher pitch in general, in my language we talk deeper in a way, had to learn how to adjust actual tone of my voice and not just pronunciation

I am learing Russian and Portugese and whenever I’ve practiced my throat hurts because of how different the spounds are. Much more nasal. Very different than English and my native Dutch!

my mums is from Nicaragua and only speaks to me spainsh I go to nicaragua near enough every year and I am 35 but I speak spainsh with a scottish accent

Culture is such a huge part of language. In 🇳🇴 we adress everybody by their first name, your boss or professor for example. In other languages this would be considered rude. I like these little details 😄

Wow! I recently set up a bilingual voicemail on my mobile phone (Welsh followed by English) and when I first played it back I was astonished at how different my voice sounded in both languages. Now I know why 💪
