@gabrielletattersall: 1. Get your capsules removed! There is much debate about this, but if you're going to go through explant surgery, you might as well do it properly and get EVERYTHING removed. 2. Research your surgeon thoroughly. Select a surgeon who specialises in breast explant and has performed 100s of these surgeries 💯 3. Be wary of facebook explant groups - I often came away from these feeling a lot worse 😅 there is a lot of fearful energy in these groups and a lot of worst case scenario explant results / stories. Please know this won't happen to you if you follow point one and thoroughly research your surgeon. 4. Make a ‘what if i do’ and ‘what if i don't explant’ list. 5. If you’re still struggling to make a decision - close your eyes, put your hand on your heart ❤️ take some deep breaths and ask yourself ‘what if i do?’ and sit with it , then ask yourself ‘what if i dont?’ Notice the feelings in your body and gut when you ask the question. 6. Know that even the best surgeons can't guarantee the end result BUT the more specialised a surgeon you go to, naturally the better your chances of a good result. 7. Don’t go for cheapest price ❌ this is a highly complex, intricate surgery, so do not scrimp on the price. Wait a bit longer and save up, to ensure you go with the best surgeon. 8. Be extra kind to yourself post surgery - don't rush to get back to the gym 🏋️♀️ give your body the rest it needs to repair. 6-8 weeks out wont make much difference to your body. Just eat healthy / go for walks 🍎 9. Don’t let fear take over and hold you back from doing what you know is the right thing for your longterm health. Release fear through journalling, meditation, breathwork 🧘🏻♀️ Fear stopped me from proceeding with the surgery for 4 years and in that time the price increased by about 2k 🫠 10. Don't get bogged down in the details - some people online will tell you you need to take a big list of things to the hospital etc - all i took was pyjamas, sliders, toiletries and loose clothing to travel home in. ➡️ Click the link in my bio to access my YOUTUBE channel where you will find videos on my 1 month, 6 month and 1 year updates post explant surgery.

How long did scars take to become slin colored again? My explant is 01/07. Also no need for a lift, capsule being removed!

The FB groups have overwhelmed and scared me. Seeing your post, helps. I am just beginning the journey to get them out. Sick and one ruptured.
