My friend died in a motorcycle accident. It was traumatic to see. He died in my mom’s arms. He hit the street face first. I saw part of the side of his face at his funeral. I thought it was crazy they had open casket. Needless to say when we walked up to him I hid my face and didn’t look. I was afraid they couldn’t do much and didn’t want to see it.

Part of this is not true, rate of flow swells tissue not pressure. Pressure pushes less fluid further into the tissue. If rate of flow is high you push fluid deep in tissue which causes swelling. Like edema

when we rolled up my (very, very frail) grandma’s sleeve her arms were wrapped in saran wrap? do you know why that was done? she didnt have any injuries or 🩸 when she died

If you do restoration with wax you must make sure it’s dry. Sometimes even using a phenolic based cauterizing agent if leakage is bad.

I wish ppl would choose whats better for the decedent instead of themselves. I wouldn’t want to look awful at a viewing.. its morbid. Just remember the last time you saw me okay? Im sure I was smiling and hugged you goodbye ❣️
