I worked in a foundry where they made the Rolls Royce Brent blades, starts of as a Titanium prism, into furnace, then brought to the massive die hammer that forms the shape. then off to finishers, before heading to Rolls Royce for all the intricate specs. apparently...each blade costs £98G (this was like 20 yrs ago. Georg fischer foundry, Lincoln).
