@annalisabahadur: The avoidant and anxious push and pulled dynamic is one of the biggest struggles that we’re finding in relationships right now. It is most difficult to appreciate and understand these dynamics when we don’t know much about these attachment styles. The anxious attached can be labeled as needy and clingy as they depend on connection to feel safe in their relationship. However, on the other hand, the Avoidant Attached needs their independence and will feel smothered if they are asked to form too much of a connection. I’m often ask if these relationships work and a short answer is they can with some awareness and some healing. We must be able to push through our fears of Abandonment and rejection wounds, and avoidant attachment style must be able to embrace deeper connections. This post is the first of a series to help us understand what happens at the beginning of a relationship that causes anxious to become frightened of losing the connection, as well as understanding why do you Avoidant Attached person pulls away., Many times what we see happening as the anxious attached, moving in a little too quickly into a very deep connection with someone that they hardly know. The avoid and attach seize us as a threat as they recognize that they don’t know the person they have just started dating. And anxious attached is eager to form a connection while Avoidant Attached wants to take their time getting to know someone before committing to them. . . . . . . . . . . . #RelationshipAdvice #AttachmentStyles #LoveAndRelationships #DatingTips #secureattachment #AnxiousAttachment #avoidantattachment #HealingAttachment #EmotionalIntimacy #HealthyRelationships #LoveAdvice #CoupleGoals #relationshipgoals #AttachmentTheory #DatingAdvice #RelationshipCoach #SelfLove #EmotionalHealing #CommunicationSkills #LoveLanguages #ToxicRelationships #HealingJourney #MindfulDating #RelationshipTips #AnxiousLove #AvoidantLove #SecureLove #LoveYourselfFirst #RelationshipHelp #EmotionalHealth

its not my fault I don't like touch as much as the average person or clingy people, we have our trauma and I communicate all the time to give me space. If you can't give me space, then that's on you. Leave then. She communicated what she needed, he refused to listen. So not respecting boundaries is okay?

I am an anxious one, but also i’m the type that don’t chase, i get attached easy and be sad when got ignored, but i always end up mirroring what they do. Don’t want/like me? Fine! And then i cry in silent until i became completely cold.

The anxious type entitlement for people to heal on their time is obnoxious they will lie about being love bombed and all this stuff when I’m really they can’t sit with feelings and demand that everyone ignore their needs co-regulate them.

No. Not timing. If there is no PROPER communication from both sides and the willingness to listen to eachother and to understand (at least trying to), THAT is the problem.

There exists « healthy dependence » that can be beneficient for both types, but anyone with an avoidant attachment type will always struggle with growing relationships because they require vulnerability, comfort in intimacy, transparent communication and trust — behaviours they struggle with. They can greatly benefit from EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy).

No. Timing isn't the problem. Avoidant always pleasant at the beginning, but always ends up with the same exit formula. Patterns don't lie. Statistics are what made probability and life as it is.

Avoidant chases hard when anxious calls time, promises to communicate rather than ghost, then reverts to breadcrumbing to keep anxious interested. Avoidant establishes boundaries but disrespects anxious boundaries, anxious aware that challenging this will scare away avoidant. Anxious will drop everything to help avoidant, this is never reciprocated. I used to be anxious, now I have studied and understand the process, I have adapted, I like the challenge, it takes a lot of patience and effort. The trick is to mirror the avoidant…
