On November 6, 2020, King Von was involved in a deadly altercation outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta, Georgia. Earlier that night, he had been celebrating the release of his new album “Welcome to O’Block” at a local nightclub. Around 2:00 AM, Von and his crew arrived at the lounge, where they unexpectedly encountered Quando Rondo’s group. Surveillance footage later showed Von exiting a vehicle and immediately approaching Quando Rondo, initiating a physical fight. Seconds into the brawl, gunfire erupted shots were fired by both sides, including an off-duty police officer nearby. Von was struck multiple times during the shootout and collapsed at the scene. He was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Two others were also killed, and multiple people were injured. Timothy Leeks, a known associate of Quando Rondo, was arrested the same day for Von’s murder.
