But at church everyone keeps saying “we feel the holy spirit moving” as if everyone can FEEL him. Making it sound like those of us who don’t are missing something.

Why can’t we get the Holy Spirit like they did at Pentecost? It seemed much more visible in the apostles day and now it sends the only thing we have to hold on to is what happened in the past? They were able to heal, had the gift of tongues, had flames above their heads when the Holy Spirit came, etc. I can see why many say he doesn’t seem to be with us anymore

Thank you random Puppet Pastor 🥹 I really needed this reassurance I was beginning to feel kind of stagnant bc I thought I had to have tongues to really know the Holy Spirit and I just don’t seem to be receiving that gift 😭

I didn’t “feel God” until I started journaling and reading the Bible. It’s amazing when you write your questions down, and God answers them through scripture. Praying for all who want to grow closer to Christ 🙏🏻

I've felt the Spirit many times since I was saved...but the night I was saved was simply peace. I actually didn't fully realize what had happened at first because I had been taught that it would be a huge, emotional ordeal. It wasn't, but God has never left me.

if you want to "feel" it.. write down your prayers and watch him fill them. write down what you think hes saying to you and watch the fruit... you will feel it when you see God move!

I believe that some (not all) have a misinterpreted feeling of being left out. They see others going through a spiritual experience (or emotional one) and don’t want to feel like they’re being excluded

Even the desire to serve God is a sign of the Holy Spirit dwelling within you. As someone who converted back into Christianity I remember the previous contempt for God and my new desire to serve God.

God is not a feeling or emotion. It’s about faith. Sometimes I do feel him and sometimes I don’t but I feel him through my faith not feeling God Bless

I think I felt the spirit on me when I realized the gravity of my sin and gave my life to Christ, it was a wave of emotions, sobbing like crazy, I felt sorry for everything. I also felt peace at the same time. it's hard to explain. I also get this at random times when I'm worshipping listening to gospel music
