Kind? Isn’t the first rule if kindness is be kind to youself? Also, there is no such thing as overly kind as kindness is an intrinsic human value. You can be overly NICE which is the opposite of kind. Niceness is rooted in people-pleasing, not wanting to upset others, or maintaining surface harmony

There's a difference of being kind and nice. You can always be too kind, but have boundaries. While for being too nice, you do it for others to the point that you lose your respect for yourself. Always be kind, but remember to be kind to urself too.
