I pay my credit card days before the statement day and it reports 0 utilization. I carried a balance this month on one card and I got alert “ dormant card is now active “ but I always use that card do know why?

Due date is before closing date. If you don't make a payment on the due date, you get penalized. It's best to pay down to 3% or less of Credit Limit before on or before the due date and do not make charges until AFTER the statement closing date. This will boost your credit score if repeated continuously.

Alway pay min on due date then more on closing date or you get late fees and your score will drop. Wrong information will mess people up

Listen Jack, if you don’t pay your cards by the due date, you accrue interest. Paying by the due date insures you pay by the statement date as long as you don’t use the card before statement close. What kind of advice you giving?

Your due date is almost always before your statement closing date. I find it’s much simpler to set up auto pay for your full statement balance on the due date. Then you can make an additional payment before your closing date to manage utilization if necessary.
