They have the right to give you a ticket. You cannot block a sidewalk, just think if there was a person in a wheelchair, going down that sidewalk, they wouldn't be able to get by. It's a legitimate ticket

My city call it the skateboard rule. Tickets are issued in nieghborhoods for blacking part of the sidewalk.

I’m so tired of these people. They may be saying they’re doing it innocently, but they blocked the sidewalk so that anybody who needs to use it has to go out in the street to go around their car. They deserve the ticket.

old neighbor means seniors with walkers,canes,scooters and kids with bikes etc. After your family mother gets out of the car PARK IT RIGHT. I have a senior parent & have that sticker but the sidewalk is government property.

I need the city to tell me how to park my vehicle. I'd take a guess that you don't block the sidewall. You say it's for your disabled mothers access. Move afterwards. Or does your care for disability access end once you have parked conveniently. Any wheel chair user doesn't need a unblocked sidewall at all.
