@jomboymedia: Craig Counsell gets ejected because he wanted the umpire to ask for help, a breakdown #cubs #baseball #MLB #sports #phillies #coaching #umpire
That is Michael Busch, former Dodger 1st round draft selection & prospect; who saw Max Muncy lose his full-time spot at 1st due to moving into the runner & getting injured. Not the best defensive 1B but he needs those forearms to power out homers.

tough set of circumstances, righty batter, righty catcher throwing right in the line, and righty first baseman.

The rule is he can’t run in the grass. They changed it. Plus, it was the second time that ump refused to consult with the crew on a call and he was clearly wrong the first time. Bad umpire.

Earl Weaver was ejected from both games of a doubleheader. Only manager to have that feat.

There is no baseline until a play on the runner is established. You are wrong on the interference. Runner did nothing wrong

Douglas :
the "baseline" is created until a play on the ball starts. he can technically run all over the party until then. from the moment the catcher touches the ball, then on the batter ran directly at the base. no interference

Does Jomboy know for a fact that the umpire is from Boston or is it just a luck of the draw for the accent??

You should do a dvd bonus feature for a movie where you lip read and dub over the entire film

the runner beat the throw. and the throw was caught by 1b--so what's there to complain about? if he didn't catch it, he may have had a case...I guess.

I thought the base path is a straight line 3ft either direction from where you start to where your going? or is that only every other base

Correct call and a decent explanation by the umpire. The home plate umpire has that call unless there is likely going to be a play at home. Regardless, the first base umpire is looking at the base and determining safe/out on the throw.

Cubs fan. Runner would have at least been safe 99% of the time but he really did just stay on the wrong side of the bag during the whole play. Catcher probably should have let the pitcher field. Minor disagreement but overreaction to throw Counsel out of the game.
