In this simple scenario of typing on a laptop, you can see that the overhead lighting angle in the Normal scene looks somewhat flat, but once the light source moved towards the opposite of the camera and angled 45 degrees downward, the scene instantly has more depth. Depth has been added to the scene through layers of shadows, making the whole scene composition more cinematic, moody, and aesthetically pleasing.
