@jamesmerrellofficial1: Replying to @born this way 📝 PIP Functional Assessment: A Step-by-Step Guide Understand the Assessment Structure The PIP assessment evaluates your ability to perform 12 daily living and mobility activities. Each activity has specific descriptors that assess your functional capacity and determine the points you may score. Each activity has a set of descriptors that describe varying levels of difficulty. Points are awarded based on the descriptor that best matches your situation. For example, in the "Moving Around" activity: Reliability Criteria To score points, you must be able to perform an activity: Safely: Without risk of harm. To an acceptable standard: Without significant difficulty. Repeatedly: As often as needed. In a reasonable time: No more than twice as long as someone without your condition. Gather Supporting Evidence Collect documents that demonstrate how your condition impacts your daily life, such as: Medical reports and letters from healthcare professionals. Medication lists. Personal statements from family or carers. Records of hospital visits or therapy sessions. Prepare for the Assessment During the assessment: Be honest and detailed about your difficulties. Discuss how your condition fluctuates. Explain the support you require from others. Describe the impact of your condition on your daily life. Post-Assessment After the assessment: Review the assessment report for accuracy. If necessary, provide additional evidence or clarification. Await the decision letter from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). This is absolutely no hate to you, or at least I don’t mean it that way, but honestly when you said you’re a PIP assessor I had a physical reaction😭I think applying for PIP has traumatised me a bit based on that😂good news tho, I actually found out I was awarded PIP today (this was my 3rd time applying)

Honestly finding me! :
How do explain that you can physically do all of the activities but can’t do them all in the same day. I have CFS, Fibromyalgia, adhd, ASD as well as poor mental health. Doing one task can make me unable to do others. Also find it odd that household chores aren’t on the form.

Reapplying currently after years. the phone assessor was absolutely awful. Made me feel like unaliving myself. Had DLA for many years. Had PIP was stopped without been being told why I failed assessment. Just had payments stopped. Professionals have told me to reapply. But now doing a mandatory reconsideration. But given up hope.

Do you know why I would have been asked if I am right or left handed? I did get awarded pip, for my mh. Most questions I can see the reasoning behind but I’m unsure on that one 😅

I was criticised for wearing g makeup when it had taken me ages to do it and it’s one of my auadhd hyper fixations. Also said I want in pain when I actually took medication in front of her. So invalidating.

I had a health assessment this week and she was extremely rude. A part of my ADHD is where I’ll go off track and tell you every detail of what’s happening and every time I did this she would say we need to stay on track. This is what I’m asking you I don’t need to know about that.

I can't remember if it was my pip or lcwra assessment but they had to reschedule as I had to be assessed by a Dr beacuse of complex spinal injuries. I was quite impressed by this x

@alliyahholding: Hello I had a phone call yesterday from a nurse at pip lasted only 10 mins, she said it’s not an assessment, I said I had more evidence and she said not to worry as they have enough. I’ve had the message to say they’ve received my assessment and to await decision but I didn’t have an assessment. Good sign?
