Heyyyy we pay our kids $1 a day to feed/water animals on our homestead each morning. Which is great because a phone bill for a preteen is $33/month

So schools should pay students for classroom responsibilities? Isn’t that what the reward/treat system is for? Additionally, those treats come out of the pockets of grossly undervalued and underpaid teachers.

Dude I do the same on our homestead with my 6yr old daughter. She cleaned up everything she had in the house and asked if she could earn anything for doing the task

why do some parents expect the school to teach our children everything? You're the parent, it is your responsibility to teach your children what you expect them to know. The school is only a supplement in that process.

Not sure why Entrepreneurship should be taught in schools unless it’s an elective and most HS have business classes. Sometimes parents have to step up and you’re doing that. Kudos.

Teachers who incorporate classroom economies can help show this. Agree most of the system fails in many ways, but there are teachers who do their best to show this perspective, too.
