There are multiple types of walnut that I’ve found while researching for my cabinets. Black walnut is a type, there’s also English walnut, claro and more? Burl is in reference to the grain, there are other species of wood that can be burled.

Walnut is my absolute favorite. Insanely expensive, but imo so much more beautiful than oak. I’m a fan of the softer grain

But you can’t make a universal statement like that. If you have a large space and high ceilings, then you can afford dark & busy cabinetry and wild patterns. If you have small space, unless you want to make it look claustrophobic and cluttered, avoid walnut.

I have a walnut floor (chevron), beige-sandy walls and ceiling and feel like walnut furniture would be too much. Is natural oak gonna look good with it? I mean the table or chairs. If not, what other types of wood match walnut? I don't want my interior to be too dark.
