I’m so glad I’ve seen this video now, just came from my ortho appointment saying I need 2 top teeth removed for braces and now I’m definitely NOT. I’d much rather live with my (not severe) overbite than have straight teeth BUT with a retracted jaw.

This is EXACTLY why I refused to have extractions in order to get braces. 3 out of 4 orthodontists I went to wanted to pull my healthy teeth claiming I didn’t have space to straighten my teeth. I went with the one who said I didn’t need extractions and my teeth have straightened just fine.

What if you have a really small mouth? I was told my case is very specific and 3 diff dentist told me to remove preomolars. I got an expander for months and it didn’t work enough! My mouth is just so small!
