![A chilling 911 call has been released detailing the harrowing final moments of a women’s life after she was savaged by an alligator, and the desperate attempts to save her life. Brittany Clark was hiking with her boyfriend, Chance Allison, and a friend when they decided to cool off in the Econlockhatchee River in Florida. The 31-year-old was then ambushed by a 12-foot alligator. Mr Allison reportedly tried to fight off the apex predator that tore off one of Miss Clark’s arms and left the other barely attached. A medical examiner’s report reads: “While they were swimming an alligator grabbed [Brittany] by her arm and began the ‘death roll’. “Her boyfriend Chance grabbed the alligator trying to get it to release her when it took them both underwater.” Mr Allison was able to free one of Miss Clark’s arms, “for a moment” before the alligator bit down on the other one, the report says. “Chance attempted to bring them both to shore when the alligator finally let go and CPR was started on shore by her boyfriend, and 911 was called,” the report reads. The 911 calls is harrowing. It is unclear whether Mr Allison grappled with the gator before or after making the emergency call, but the audio suggest he called for help while still trying to free his girlfriend. Screaming and crying can be heard in the recording, as Mr Allison tells call handlers he was “still trying to get her arms away from the alligator's mouth.” Moments later, he told the operator that “both her arms, both her arms are off,” while their friend added that one arm was “hanging by a thread.” When the dispatcher asked where the other arm was, the woman replied: “Gone.” Mr Allison described the situation as “real bad” and urged emergency workers to “hurry”.
