Game Freak, Nintendo, and Creatures equally own 1/3 of the Pokémon company, you can’t blame Creatures because all they do is make cards, Game Freak are the game devs, but also a producer along with Nintendo, which is also the licenser of the games, who pushes deadlines to get these games out quicker and rushing them, making the final product lackluster. Blame Nintendo and GameFreak equally.

Time is the big differentiator. We don't know how long Gamefreak has been cooking this one, and Pokemon gets like... 2, maybe 3 years, tops, between games?

People here need to do more research. Nintendo only owns 10% of TPC but they don’t make decisions for them. TPC is what decides the games, shows, toys, etc. and they are as greedy as EA. Plus you guys keep buying their games regardless of how bad they are so why should they try to make a good quality game

Compare the engine, art style and hardware they were running on. the current Pokemon engine is woefully outdated, which brings bugs and glitches when used on hardware it wasn't initially designed for, and the art style of Pokemon is one of simplicity as it is supposed to appeal to kids. comparing the two is apples and oranges
