🚨More info on each hike here! After doing 2 weeks of trails. Here’s my top five! 🏞️ #5 Segredo (@cachoeira_do_segredo )– One of the tallest and most stunning waterfalls I’ve seen. You can’t swim all the way to it (there’s a rope), but the water is crystal clear and peaceful. Don’t skip the swimming spots on the way back. Bonus tip: stop at @moringa.gastronomia on your way out — easily one of the best meals I had. 🌄 #4 Mirante da Janela (@mirantedajanela )– Iconic view and a must-do for sunset. The hike back under the stars is magical. You don’t need a guide, but it helps for sunrise or sunset hikes. Bring water and give yourself time for the uphill trek. 💦 #3 Couros – No guide needed, but having one is definitely helpful. To enjoy it right spend a good chunk of your day. Multiple waterfalls to explore as you hike along the river. Easy to get to with your own car, and the perfect mix of hike and hangout. 🏊 #2 Simão Correia (@cachoeirasimaocorreia )– A straight shot to an epic waterfall and cold plunge pool. Go when the sun hits it, or you’ll be freezing. Plenty of jump and swim spots on the way back. Best with a guide and worth setting aside most of the day. 🐉 #1 Dragão (@cachoeiradodragao )– This one’s wild. You’re hiking through a valley in a wetsuit, walking on rocks, and swimming through a canyon to reach a hidden waterfall. You need a guide and a 4x4 — and yes, the water is freezing. But the remote vibe, circling birds, and surreal beauty make it unforgettable. @castorguiachapada was our guide for this hike and he was awesome! Follow me for more from a gringo living in Brazil!
