Ninne ✝️ :
Some people say, “Once you have the Holy Spirit, He can never leave you.”
But the truth is more serious and deeper. If you are a true believer, born again, the Holy Spirit comes to live in you to guide, teach, comfort, and seal you for eternity (Ephesians 1:13).But The Bible also shows that when someone hardens their heart, lives in rebellion, and continues in disobedience, they can grieve, quench, resist, and eventually lose the fellowship and presence of the Holy Spirit.
King Saul was chosen by God.
He was anointed by the prophet Samuel.
And the Holy Spirit came upon him powerfully.
“The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you... and you will be changed into a different person.” — 1 Samuel 10:6
But Saul disobeyed God repeatedly.
He rejected God's voice.
He became proud, fearful of people, and full of himself.
Eventually, this happened:
“Now the Spirit of the Lord had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented him.” — 1 Samuel 16:14
That’s terrifying.
He still had the crown, but he lost the covering.
David Got It Right
David also sinned, but he repented deeply and said:
“Do not cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me.” — Psalm 51:11
David knew what happened to Saul… and begged God not to let it happen to him.
The Holy Spirit won’t abandon you for every mistake.
But if you continue to live in rebellion, ignore His voice, and walk away from God,you may silence His presence… until one day, it feels like He’s gone.
You don’t lose the Holy Spirit like a phone.
You lose connection when you stop charging the relationship.
