@remodelschool: Replying to @Ohio Real Estate Broker To answer the question on the shimmering paint: Best practice is to paint the entire surface area at the same time, whether that’s a wall or ceiling. And priming is key! Sometimes you need to use two coats of primer on the entire wall to properly change paint sheens. And the primer matters. Oil based primer is generally very effective for trouble spots and the entire wall. The most effective stain blocker is shellac based primer, however it’s a very strong odor and best limited to small areas for that reason. I’ve found the water based kilz restoration primer to be nearly as effective as oil based primers and I usually use that because I can spray it with my paint sprayer (I don’t spray oil based primers any more — it’s both a big hard to clean mess and a health hazard). Fortunately as I mention in this video, you don’t have to paint your wall to see what two coats of whatever color you want will look like by using Samplize. #interiordesign #interiordesignideas #homeinspo #homedesign #homerenovation #paint #remodelschool #samplize @Remodel School @Remodel School @Remodel School
