I've been told to call 911 and tell them only... I've been the victim of a crime, please send police and ambulance, and hang up. Does this make sense? Next call would be to my lawyer.

What if someone refuses to identify themselves / shows no badge and tries to detain you, they shoot, and then after the fact reveal they’re police / federal agent? Have a fear it’s gonna happen inevitably

I don't necessarily agree with telling peopleNot to call 911 if they have the ability to do so. I would personally ratherCall 911 because I know what to say and what not to say. Relying on someone else to call 911 for me runs the risk of the person giving false or incomplete details. If that phone call is going to be used In court anyway,Then I would ratherThe audio be of me showing a calm and collected demeanor. 9/10 Bystanders are going to be in a state of panic and I do not want them to say things that could put me at risk In my legal defense.

If you call 911 and say something like you suggested, I think they typically try to call you back. Even if self defense, the whole damn police force will be at that address escorting you out crawling to them and cuffed
