@godtobias: what’s more dangerous- sharing and risk not getting paid by bl00dmoney? or not sharing, and risk my shared humanity with the people who make this country home? immigrants make america. native americans, mexicans- they were here first. made up borders that were enforced with violence, lies, broken treaties, ILLEGAL means, will never outrun the truth; brown people were here first. without immigrants i wouldn’t be here. without america, i wouldn’t be here. the same can be said for the people dictating this country. the empowerment i feel alongside my people- all of us fighting for ourselves and our families, fills me with pride. seeing signs that say “PROTECT OUR NEIGHBORS”, moves me to tears. this is a fight against, and yet for, this country. saving jewish people in n4zi germany was illegal. saving sl4ves on the land you stand on was illegal. a woman voting was illegal. “legal” does not inherently equate to moral. i hope people, filipinos especially, remember that when clinging onto their proximity to whiteness in hopes that they can claim superiority over other people of color. love yourselves. this message is rushed and messy. but i hope it gets across. immigrants are the foundation, building blocks, and power of this country. america could never be america without them. choke on that bootlickers
