my parents have heaps on their property so we usually burn a few every winter. one year we burned this massive one - turns out it had like 5 or 6 heads on it 😅

remember when the Labor party put a ten thousand dollar fine to stop people doing this before the biggest bush fires on the east coast happened. 😎 the smoke of the black boy is very very dangerous like arsenic, whatever you do don't breathe it in.

Australian native plant and animal species have adapted to thrive in fire-prone environments, and controlled burns can offer benefits like nutrient cycling, habitat rejuvenation, and reduced risk of catastrophic wildfires.
The fuel from grass trees is the hottest natural fuel possible, well done for doing this at the right time of year and doing your bit to keep the area safe.

That’s so interesting! But I’d probably have an elder do this, I have no place in burning natives. 😂
