I find muscles attractive & I respect the work that goes into it. I don’t think it’s an overcompensation for anything. It’s shows he cares for his health. It shows he has discipline. Nothing wrong with a Dad bod either but trashing the ones that do work out is not it.

My Life :
When I was young and dating I’d avoid guys with body builder type bodies. I figured they spend all their time in a gym and not with me. Also being weirdly obsessed with their diet that I’d be required to cook at some point or even follow myself. Hard pass.

I go to the gym because I had to either lose weight or have a stroke. My B/p and cholesterol were way up. I’m now down 35 pounds, I feel great. And Yes I had a “ dad bod”. The weight is off but I need to keep it off or else decline in health. I don’t do it for looks. I do it for my health as well as my job. It is very physical. And now that I am in better shape I perform at work much better

I go to the gym for my health. We want to be around for a long time. Don't hate on a guy that is trying to do something mentally and physically for himself. Going to the gym helps us in both of those ways.

When I see a man with a dad bod, the first thing I think is that he must eat good. I’m definitely down to join him at those restaurants. He’s not judging me when I indulge in dessert. 😆
