My one bedroom is $2,385 and that’s considered cheap now. The ones next door they just built start in the low $2,800’s. Now co-signers have to make FIVE times as much!!! That’s not even realistic!!!

Honestly their should be a cap on the price based on size and location. Like why are apartments 2100 for less than 600sqft in a basic town. No backyard and typically no garage! Please make it make sense

People saying “must be California” haven’t looked at places like Florida, Texas, etc. While there are areas you can pay less than that in every state; even the expensive ones; the fact remains the same: no state with a minimum wage that doesn’t cover housing costs should allow the market price of rentals to be so extreme. Period. If minimum wage is $7.25 apartments shouldn’t be allowed to be $2000 a month.
