I have piano gloss black trim on my bmw. I tryed to polish it by hand and by machine. I used sonax perfect finish also meguiars compound to remove scratches. But it looks like more white-ish hollow around the scratches now. Is it because i removed to much of the paint? And any advice what i can do to fix it?

Doesn’t look like that did a whole lot. Still a ton of scratches but it did definitely bring some gloss back. Unless they’re going to be coated with some major scratch resistant coating, manufacturers really need to step away from piano black altogether. *personal opinion
