We are raising Holstein Cows, show cows....so this was very helpful! unfortunately pink eye has been an issue, and this makes perfect sense. Thank you for the information!

Fully agree I feed it year round. We have troubles with calves getting upset stomach and eating sand. Feeding baking soda has eliminated that. To cheap not to feed.
