This! College teaches so many valuable skills. Time/stress management, professionalism, resilience, work/life balance, how to speak and carry yourself. It all goes with you for the rest of your life.

Yes 1000x!! College was the best thing I ever did it teaches you a lot abt growing up, building and maintaining relationships, socializing with others, professionalism, etc. You can always tell the difference!

Before I came to college, I was quiet, a people- pleaser, had very little social life, barely any confidence, & very little standards for myself & expectations of others. Three years into college, I'm more vocal, I don't people please, I have a better social life, I have more confidence, and have greater standards for myself & expectations of others🤍

College made me understand the difference between friends, acquaintances and colleuges. And I genuinely don’t care about what others are doing unless it affects me. I also don’t get attached as easily. It’s all so nice

People who went to college had to be extremely professional, responsible, respectful and we were held accountable for ALL OF OUR ACTIONS by staff, friends, and organizations. These were outside ppl not family or HS friends. So their view helps us to grow.

Loved college. It helped me realize there was nothing wrong with me bc I found ppl in proximity to my mindset. HS is the last place you’re forced to be around ppl you don’t want to & ppl cling onto HS bc there were no consequences then.

And don’t be the only friend in the friend group to graduate from college. All of those “I’m so proud of you.” Turn into “You ain’t really did nothing anybody can graduate from college 🫠”

Regardless of job opportunities, my degree strengthens my critical thinking abilities. From how I annotated notes and researched papers, it still comes in handy. I still have room to grow but I do not regret it at all.

the scam part has to do with money and the fact that people can’t just go get educated for free especially when it’s really just another set up to make you a hamster on the wheel . not the actual knowledge and skills you gain itself.

No that’s so real. It’s weird I’m 22 and in a graduate program and I’m told I’m so mature at work and I shouldn’t take so seriously and these are the older people who didn’t go to college but the ones that dod don’t have the same line of thinking

I did go, however I’ve met educated people from all backgrounds. Some of the dumbest were college educated lol. It’s diff for everyone. There’s plenty of ways to educate yourself. Reading is really what’s essential.
