back when the continents were all pangea, The Appalachians and the Scottish mountains were one mountain chain. I think that's fascinating, especially since so many Scottish people ended up migrating to the US and lived in the Appalachian mountains!!! it's like American gods

I spent my childhood wandering in the smoky mountains, mostly by myself. I think that's why I feel such a connection to these stories. However, I always felt like the woods protected me. It felt like a living entity wrapping me in care.
