Aventurine being faceless and Ratio staring longingly/curiously—i intended it to represent that Aventurine hasn’t shown his “true face” to Ratio, his “mask” hasn't fall off yet. in my understanding of Sam’s comic “Fool” i thought Aventurine was concealing his feelings and thoughts about Ratio’s concern, *fooling* Ratio with his easy-go-lucky facade > remember the “eyes don’t lie” quote, and with how Aventurine’s faceless.. he IS lying in some way. > ik Aven’s eyes are a big part of his character, but without them, would you say you truly know Aventurine? 2. the quotes of Aventurine and Ratio's back and forth—another testament that while Ratio is trying to decipher and show his concern to Aventurine, Aventurine acts oblivious and deflects a lot because he doesn't think he's worthy of any care at all. you can see it clearly in the comic “Fool”.. forgot which pages, but Ratio tears up when Aventurine doesn't acknowledge his worries > you should go check out Sam’s own analysis of their comic “Fool”, gives more context 3. notice the change of“Dr Ratio” into “Veritas Ratio” in the end bc his words start from as a concerned strategic partner into something more personal (and intimate..!) #aventurinehonkaistarrail #drratiohonkaistarrail #drratio #hsr #HonkaiStarRail #starrail #ratiorine #aventio
