I love the portrayal, even if I’m not really a fan of the fact that stoic just simply doesn’t look big enough. He’s supposed to be a mountain of a man. But if that’s the trade-off to get Butler to do the role, I’m fine with it.

His strength was nerfed a little bit. In the scene where Hookfang attacks Hiccup in the ring and Stoick had to lift the gate, he struggled with lifting it in the live action and had to get help.
