I’m happy I saw this post because I literally just did this on Mother’s Day. Out of 10, only 1 of my friends (who Ive known since I was 8) text me happy Mother’s Day. 🤷♀️so yeah, it’s not a huge deal. But it is the point! I have learned though…you should continue to love and care for others how you choose to. But never expect others to care or love how deeply or how you do. If you do, it’s usually disappointing. Just saying. But I totally get this!!!

You do care and there is nothing wrong with caring. It hurts and you have right to feel your feelings. My friend group has recently gotten smaller because I am tried of putting all this energy out and not receiving it back. Don’t discount yourself. Exit stage left.

Some people only know how to show up for others when reminded. I have quite quit a few friendships because I was tired of being the one to reach out… you shouldn’t have to always be the one.
