@bakedbynech: To me, Father’s Day means celebrating the provider of the family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 This isn’t always the father. Sometimes it’s the mother. Sometimes it’s both. Taking on that role in today’s world is tough. It’s hard to be both present with your kids and provide at the same time. It’s not the parent’s fault. It’s the way society is built now. Consumerism and the constant pressure to want more 💸 have pushed the cost of living so high that it affects family life in a big way. I definitely got caught up in that rush. Especially being a business owner where you’re juggling everything every single day. That kind of lifestyle gave me a lot of anxiety 😔 A part of me knew I wasn’t doing my real job as a father. Because being a dad isn’t just about money. It’s about being there. Watching your kids grow. Not missing the small moments or the big ones. Sometimes just being present at home makes your kids feel happy, safe, and loved 🏡❤️ I haven’t figured it all out yet. But I’m working on it. Trying to carve out more time to spend with my kid and just be there. That’s why I’m so thankful my social media is growing 📱 because the truth is… I don’t want to open another bakery. I don’t want to expand and take on more debt or more employees. That just means more time away from my kids.
