I tried being a PIP assessor . I lasted one month post training probation. It was the most awful job I have ever done in my career . I was doing ‘phone assessments .

i failed the interview for this job because the mock assessment i had to do they said i was too nice to the person I was assessing....glad I didn't get it ✌️

It’s the worst job ever, it broke me and goes against everything a nurse should be. It’s more of a OT or a physiotherapist job.. it’s like working for the devil. No matter what report I did it was torn apart. I can’t see how anyone would see this as a satisfying job. I am now in a fantastic nurse role and glad to be out of it.. also pip assessors are at risk of there pin and get so much abuse from public

I had both of my assessments for PIP by nurses who were kind , understanding and thorough. One of them told me she had not heard of my condition and had read up on it. But I can also see the down side of being an assessor. Thank you for your clear explanations always 🙏🏽
