But soon, A and B get farther apart, and suddenly you’re riding a carbon bike worth three months’ salary. That’s when it turns into something more than just transport. We ride to see the world and believe the best way is from the saddle. It keeps us fit; it lets us eat pasta without guilt. It’s about sunny days (even if rare) and the strange pride in fixing a flat tire alone. And nothing beats that first sip of warm coffee after a cold, rainy ride. But it’s more than physical. Cycling is therapy, adventure, ego-check. It’s where suffering becomes part of the reward. And it’s friendships formed out on the road, unplanned and unforgettable.
