That said, shifting deep-seated cultural attitudes in Japan is not easy. Traditional expectations around loyalty, long hours, and corporate hierarchy are still deeply ingrained. But when calls for change come from within the society—especially from younger workers—transformation is inevitable, even if it’s slow.
