Depending on your workplace, starting with warmth is powerful. Skipping phrases like this is like walking up to someone and just starting to talk instead of saying hello, how’s it going…. Efficient, yes. Chances of being seen as rude, much higher.

In daily interactions, we often say things like ‘How are you doing today?’ Not because we expect a deep answer, but as a basic courtesy. ‘Hope this email finds you well’ serves the same purpose. It’s not about weakness, just a polite way to start a message.
