The headphones/silent disco would also be nice for people who are sensitive to sounds, as the people not using them wouldn’t have to talk over the music, so this would keep the general sound level in the room lower.

Silent disco was started by a school that had special education students that didn’t enjoy loud music and they wanted to make sure they could be included and so they come with the idea of using headphones
