@wealthwithtess: Comment “SAVVY” to grab the free investing guide that will help you actually figure out what to invest in. 3 things to know in addition: 1. $1 won’t get you to retirement but getting started is the hardest part. Unless you have a ton of high interest debt over 7% you should be doing this ASAP even if it’s just $50 a month. 2. There are income limits. If you make over a certain amount, you can’t contribute directly (but there are other ways)… 3. You have to actually make sure the money in the Roth IRA is invested. A Roth is just a CONTAINER for your investments. You have to actually go in and pick investments. 4. Ideally you aren’t pulling out of this account, especially because it grows tax-free (again as long as it’s invested properly). If you want to learn how to start choosing your own simple investments comment “SAVVY” and I’ll send you a free investing guide to help you figure out next steps.
