Defense attorneys and prosecutors argued over the admissibility of statements from Kenneth "Woody" Copeland today (June 20) with the jury gone in the Young Thug / YSL trial. Some of the statements involve the sexual preferences of Jimmy "Peewee Roscoe" Winfrey, and there's also statements Woody made to Detective Tyrone Dennis about Thugger's sexuality. Shannon Stillwell's lawyer Max Schardt described the statements to Judge Glanville. He said the defense agrees with prosecutors that Woody's statements about Peewee Roscoe shouldn't come in, but the defense wants the jury to hear the discussion between Woody and Detective Dennis about Thugger's sexuality because Woody repeatedly says Thug acts that way as a marketing tool. Dennis also asked Woody about Bridman's "sexual proclivities." Along with sending the recusal motions against him to another judge, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville today cancelled a hearing scheduled for Wednesday in which attorney Kayla Bumpus, who represented Kenneth "Woody" Copeland in the ex parte hearing, was to attend, along with anyone else at the meeting, and "show cause" why she shouldn't be held in contempt of court for disclosing information about the meeting to Young Thug's lawyer Brian Steel. An attorney for Bumpus told Glnaville that "half of America" knows about this case. Was she actually underestimating?? The Young Thug / YSL trial is on hold as the recusal motions get sorted out.
