Phil’s inventive use of the Wrecking Crew along with the new recording technology of overdubbing mesmerized Brian. Spector dubbed the resulting backing music the “Wall of Sound”. Phil Spector once said, “…my Wall of Sound is what drove Brian Wilson crazy.”. Be My Baby is in my top 5 songs of all time & I've been listening to music since the late 50's. I still sing it to my 39 year old daughter. Ronnie Spector was EVERYTHING!
