As a dermatologist daughter and soon to be doctor (1 year left), you probably treated hyperpigmentation and not acne scars. Acne scars are deep and only treated with laser and harsh peeling treatments + acids at home

Just stop touching your face and use water for some time until the skin barrier isn’t triggered and then develop a small skin care routine , the dermatologist was gonna put me on accurate but thank got I didn’t do it
