@RODZEL:Great enumeration dr, but many doctors is still missing some items, sub causes to lead to the Root causes. And very true the mother of all causes of most chronic diseases FATS CARBS SUGAR. But just what Dr Diamond & Dr Christian research shows, we are missing the root cause, why such small densed LDL as a result of excessive TRIGLYCERIDES got inside the endothelium layer? Or why did our own macrophages with scavenger receptor attacked the sdLDL? What was OXIDIZED that caused the sdLDL to modify appearing a foreign body to our immune cells? Among the 3 fats of Triglycerides we've long feared Saturated fats causing CVD, however it is not the one OXIDIZED when sdLDL are inside the endothelium, and many are likely to be surprised and skeptical if they know the fats that are oxidized are the ones with double bond carbon, and saturated fats are single bond carbon only, less electrons, hence will not attract OXIDATION from free radicals R. O. S. sdLDL being attacked by macrophages using oxidative burst, sdLDL will be engulfed by macrophages and soon these macrophages will die, forming a Foam cells causing a build up of soft plaques pre Atherosclerosis. The high oxidation will result to INFLAMMATION and this buildup will cause a lump at the inner wall of vessels resulting a narrow vessel, high blood pressure. Eventually the soft plaque will rupture and cause blood clot, hence attracting platelets, that will patch the damaged vessel further exacerbating constriction resulting THROMBOSIS STROKE.
But the BIGGER question is, Will these sdLDL oxidation will even happened if there were no ENDOTHELIAL PERMEABILITY? Friends regardless if there were many VLDL LDL IDL SDLDL presence at our blood vessels, as long the very PROTECTIVE layer of our endothelium is not BREACHED or damaged, all these lipids or lipoproteins with remnants of excess triglycerides, they remained HARMLESS as long they cant enter endothelium. Thus i concluded the 2 ROOT CAUSE of Atherosclerosis CVD are TRIGLYCERIDES & BREACHED GLYCOCALYX - REVELAR RODRIGO ACADEMIC RESEARCHER
