Yall she is a frustrated young adult who lost her ability to do basic things, of course she’s gonna ‘give up’ when something doesn’t work right away, she’s young and justifiably upset. The therapist understands that and her job is to not let her just give up and stop trying. She’d know if she legitimately needed to stop

Therapy is UNCOMFORTABLE. If they stopped when someone said they were uncomfortable or didn’t want to keep going no progress would ever be made. She’s not hurting her 🙃

As a PT who works with many neurological patients, there’s a balance between pushing for growth and adapting. A LOT of therapy is UNCOMFORTABLE but that’s how you build trust
